UK woman vows to ditch meat altogether after finding FOOT inside Lidl roast chicken

A woman has vowed to ditch meat altogether after finding a FOOT inside her Lidl roast chicken.

Mercedes Checkley, 25, bought a seasoned bird from Lidl for £3.99 last Sunday (6/2) and popped it in the oven for a roast dinner for herself and three friends.

But, when she removed it from the oven an hour and 45 minutes later, she discovered an entire chicken FOOT hiding inside the animal's body.

The horror sight left poor Mercedes vomiting and feeling faint - and she has now vowed to ditch meat altogether after the shock incident.

Mercedes, who works as a team leader in a care home and lives in Bedford, said: "I honestly didn't even process it at first.
