Ep 17: Is The CW Changing? Examining CW’s Waltons, Walker, Roswell, 4400, Superman & Lois, and more!

ARCHIVAL NOTE: THIS VIDEO WAS UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE, DECEMBER 29, 2021. This was just days before the unexpected announcement that The CW would be put up for sale by Warner Bros. and CBS, adding a surreal context to this episode which wasn't even planned!

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
MOONJUMPER’S POST-CHRISTMAS WRAP-UP
As we enter 2022, a recent and surprisingly reverent CW reboot of “The Waltons,” along with several other Christmas specials, and a pivot towards less heavy-handed programing, seems to be aimed at a more mature, mainstream audience, as opposed to the CW’s typical young, woke base. This has Moonjumper considering something amazing: Is The CW changing?

To examine this possibility, Moonjumper takes a deep dive into recent CW programing, analyzing and reviewing “The Waltons’ Homecoming,” “Walker,” “Roswell, New Mexico,” “4400,” “Superman & Lois,” “Stargirl,” and also touches upon two additional Christmas specials, “Silent Night: A Song for the World,” and “Christmas Around the World” with Dean Cain. All this juxtaposed to The CW’s sister network, HBO Max’s, woke anti-Christmas disaster, “Santa, Inc.” Is it even slightly possible that Warner Bros. is beginning to finally wake up? Moonjumper isn’t holding his breath, but let’s examine it.
