Hot Damn Uptown Wanting To Be Starting Funk

The Scottish horn band, The Haggis Brothers, kick off today's Segue City Special with "Hot Damn" into a mashup/segue in its own right between Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson for a mixture, when allowed to cool and put up on line sounds just right for the second Tuesday of the new year... Haggis is an acquired taste like single malt Scotch but then so is scrapple or cracklin' bread - just depends on where you are and where your stomach is...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. Other times there's hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... if you liked today's segue, our Mayor is known as the Silver Haired Man of Rock n' Roll. At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; offer void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not? They've had it on the market for years but no one wants to buy it...

This feature is a three-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award.
