Excessive blow-by!
when I did the top end rebuild, I didn't notice any apparent damage to the pistons or cylinder walls other than I don't remember seeing any crosshatching.
A viewer mentioned that the fuel pump may have been pushing to much fuel, and now that I think about it, I do remember smelling gas in the oil when I first got the mule.
So, it's probably a set of toasted piston rings.
But don't worry, we rebuilt an entire Duramax! We're not giving up the mule!
I guess a rebuild series is in store!
I started drawing plans for the hood and cut most of the pieces, so that will be the next thing we do to the mule.
