Steel, wood, glue, plastic, and more we have used to make stuff! This episode Bryce explores another substance - Silicone! He starts off with a phone holder made on a 3D printer. One thing that always seems to be very “grippy” is Silicone. Another thing is that Silicone also comes in tubes of caulk. Can you turn a tube of caulk into making items of other uses than just sealing window seams?
You sure can! It actually works pretty well.
Marrying the phone holder to the Silicone Caulk base, makes a good use scenario for your dash, table or any other thing where you need your device from not sliding. Protect tool handles or hand grips from removing oil filters!
Much more than that too! Use your imagination and you can do a lot with silicone that can withstand up to 400+ degrees. It can also be used as a mold for plaster of Paris.
Post below if you have had any unique uses for Silicone!
