Quake (2021) - E4M6: The Pain Maze (Nightmare, 100% Secrets, Painless Maze Achievement)

Back to the normal path we go to what many consider to be the single hardest level in the game! If it's not The Palace of Hate, it's this! Between the hordes of Fiends, the multiple Vore encounters, the Gold Key passage with a complete mess of Spawns, and the final ambush filled with Spawns, Death Knights, and Vores, this map definitely lives up to its name with all the pain it will cause you! And to make matters worse, there's an achievement for completing it on Nightmare without taking any damage at all! Thankfully you can save and reload at various points in the middle of the map and still get it so you don't have to do it all in one run. But to anybody who can beat this map with no damage on Nightmare in one straight run, I salute you! In one of my outtakes in the final segment I just took the Quad Damage and made a mad dash for the exit without even bothering to kill everything and I got the achievement from that which is why it didn't pop up again here.
