away from the city stream
away from the noise in the sky
lost in the leaves on the trees
watching them fall in the breeze...

Out here in the fields
watching the crows fly by
with oak holly and birch
a buzzard a deer and a bull
with horses grazing by
Im alone with the wights of the wood
remembering time slips away...

Hew the wood and shape it
trim it blade to grain
shaving cutting and carving
chips fall patterns show,
lost to time in motion
possessed by an ancient craft...
