The Red Fox Squirrel-Hair Nymph is one of the most versatile nymphs ever created. Very simple in it's design but it has the ability to mimic many different types of aquatic insects. This fly can be fished under an indicator or without and does a fantastic job attracting fish as it drifts along the bottom. I have used this pattern while fishing for trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass as well as various panfish. With slight color variations and/or adding rubber legs you can make the Red Fox Squirrel-Hair Nymph even more enticing.
