Vulture and Hummingbird

A positive attitude in a negative world.
Your attitude is not determined by the world around you, but by how you process the world around you.
If you choose to see the world as out to get you, then that is how you will experience your world.
If you choose to see the world as a mostly positive, supportive place, that is how you will experience your world.
Keyword - “choose”.
You are not an animal operating on instinct alone.
Your attitude is your choice.
No one chooses your attitude for you.
In this crazy world, you choose what you look for and how you react to what you find.
Animals, like vultures and hummingbirds, for example, don’t have the ability to choose.
Vultures and hummingbirds fly around, often, coexisting in the same areas.
Vultures soar looking for rotting carcasses to feed them. They have incredible eyesight and can spot a lifeless animal from miles away.
Hummingbirds fly over the same landscape and are attracted to flowers to feed on the sweet nectar.
Vultures fly over flowers and hummingbirds fly over rotting carcasses, but they notice what they look for.
Humans are not much different.
If you fly around looking for decay, you will find it. (bad news, gossip, negativity, gloom and doom)
However, if you are looking for sweet nectar, you’ll find it as well. (joy, happiness, positivity)
Both the decay and the sweetness are there – side by side.
As it is with the vulture and hummingbird, so it is with you.
When you fly over your landscape, what are you looking for?
The sweetness or the decay?
What you choose to look for significantly influences your what you find.
This isn’t a secret; it is how the world works.
The vulture and the hummingbird don’t have a choice.
You do!
Do you choose feed upon:
Positive or Negative
Success or Failure
Life or death?
It’s your choice.
Are you a vulture or a hummingbird?
