Ruto once again stars in one of the most brutal Zelda 2 Randomizer seeds I've ever played! This seed starts off in a vanilla Western Hyrule with shuffled locations arranged in such a way that the only way forward is a cave where the Desert Palace would normally be that leads to Eastern Hyrule on the other side, all with only one unit of life to start with. This seed also has the most well-hidden Great Palace I've had to find so far, making you find your way back west, then find the cave to Death Mountain, then find the bridge there leading to Maze Island where the Great Palace lies.

For this randomizer seed, I'm doing another run with Max Rando settings. This means that if anything can be randomized, it is randomized. This includes random starting items, starting spells, starting heart containers, maximum heart containers, number of lives, starting techs, palace shuffling across continents, random enemy encounters, random enemy HP, randomly changing enemies that steal XP and how much XP they steal, randomly changing enemies that are immune to the sword, randomly reconstructed palace layouts including community rooms, random boss drops (so they won't always drop a key), random XP requirements, random stat effectiveness, random refill amount for the Life spell, random palace and overworld item placements (including P bags), random enemy drops (can include 1-Ups and keys), and random number of palaces to complete to open the Great Palace. However, sometimes, one of the overworld maps may be vanilla in layout (meaning it's the same map as the original Zelda 2), though some of the items on the tiles or the palaces may be shuffled, or the caves might lead to different places.
