Ashley Oyama's Kupa'a Homeschool Academy (Part 1)

Kūpaʻa Homeschool Academy
Founded by former 2020-2021 West Hawaii Complex Area Teacher of the Year and former Department of Education teacher, Kūpaʻa Homeschool Academy started out as a homeschool pod initiative, to support families and students needing an alternative education to the public school system. At Kūpaʻa Homeschool Academy, students are a part of education that is rooted in core objectives and core values. Personal choice, student voice, and free thinking, are part of Kūpaʻaʻs vision for students. Each learner will be educated using state standards and up to date knowledge and skills, with the core focus on the whole child, social emotional learning, and project based learning. Kūpa`a Academy is a private, independent homeschool pod initiative, that is not affiliated with the Department of Education.

Donations are being accepted to go towards renovating and expansion of our current warehouse for Kūpaʻa. We are hoping to create a bigger play area for students, expand current classrooms, redo floors and painting, and possibly add a small kitchen to the warehouse.
