Chasing and repoussè horse necklace

Chasing and repoussè is a favorite process of mine. Here I show a shortened video of the process I go through to work a piece of fine silver metal. The process is lengthy and what you see in this two and a half minute video actually took 20 to 24 hours of work to complete it. The video doesn't show the repeated steps I take in the process. I work both sides of the metal numerous times back and forth, annealing the metal in-between each step. Every time a side is worked (hammered) the metal gets work hardened. The metal needs to be heated to allow the molecules in the metal to open up in order to soften the metal enough to continue to move it. Enjoy!
