GoFundMe closed the campaign for Freedom Convoy 2022.
Organizers set up a GiveSendGo instead. The new campaign has a $16,000,000CAD goal according to the new account. As of 7-Feb-2022 the balance of the new campaign is over $5Milllion CAD.

Has been experiencing periodic interruptions resulting in a "BAD GATEWAY" or similar error but reports indicate these issues are intermittent.

##### From a statement by GoFundMe 4-Feb-2022: "We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity."

##### From a statement by GoFundMe 5-Feb-2022: "The update we issued earlier (below) enabled all donors to get a refund and outlined a plan to distribute remaining funds to verified charities selected by the Freedom Convoy organizers. However, due to donor feedback, we are simplifying the process. We will automatically refund all contributions directly — donors do not need to submit a request. You can expect to see your refund within 7–10 business days."

Originally GoFundMe was requiring donors to request a refund or their funds would be sent to a charity chosen by "fundraiser's organizer and GoFundMe" but due to feedback by donors and others they decided to issue automatic refunds.
