Gifts of the Holy Spirit // Forgotten God (Part 2)

Abraham was now very old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way. He said to the senior servant in his household, the one in charge of all that he had, “Put your hand under my thigh.  I want you to swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, but will go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.” Genesis 24:1-4

The Holy Spirit is the ruler of heavens wealth (John 16:15; Gen.41:55)

1. He is thirsty! (Gen.24:17-18; John 4:7)
From Relationship to Intimacy (Eph.1:13 Sealed, 4:30 Grieved 5:18 Filled)
If you are thirsty, come and drink of the Spirit but if He is thirsty, can He come and drink?
It’s not enough to invite Him, host him. Luke 10:41-42. [We all have same Spirit, but Spirit does not have us all the same]
Not spending time should make you THIRSTY, not guilty!

2. If you water the camels, you will wear the jewelry (Gen.24:19, 22)

She volunteered (140-250 gallons each) She got gifts but asking for a job!

3. His gifts beautify (Gen.24:30)
1 Corinthians 12:4-7
Gifts of Father are operational.
Gifts of Jesus are ministry.
Gifts of Spirit are spiritual

Myths:
[Gifts are optional] What if the world would treat the gift of the Father like the church treats gifts of Holy Spirit?
[Gifts ended with Apostles]. Jesus healed to write a book or out of compassion. In western world we have luxury of doing much without God.
[Gifts are false]. Abuse in miracles mean we need real ones more! Scripture was abused yet it means we need to study it more. Magic of Egypt has to stop working, not US stopping moving in supernatural. Get behind Me, everywhere is real will follow by fake!
[Gifts distract from Jesus]. It’s okay to draw attention to music and hide Jesus’ power.
