Love it or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes is now more important than ever when it comes to whether moviegoers decide to check out the latest releases on the big screen (well, when they were still being released in theaters), and it's not uncommon for studios to tout scores as proudly as star ratings.

It's been quite the ride for the Spider-Man over the years. The 2002 movie was a game-changer for the superhero genre, and what's followed has been an amazing and sometimes disappointing journey for the web-slinger. The Universe is expanding, but we've kept this list focused on Spider-Man's solo films and are not focusing on other films that he's appeared in or spin-offs like Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage in this ranking.
