When the dislike count was removed, many creators gave their opinions on it. Many of those opinions seemed negative. They pointed out that the move was likely for protection of specific entitles that were being ratio'd with overwhelming negative counts and comments. I have my own thoughts on this.

It was stated at the time it was to protect smaller creators. Yet the detractors pointed out the feature to turn off the public counts in the creators studio. So the stated purpose was pretty thin as an excuse. Oh and they forgot to mention they might try and monetize that feature.

Now we have data on the damage this move has caused and a disturbing trend. It may be more than a small mistake. Here We Go!
