Christians & Role Models

Christians need role models, but sometimes we get things distorted. We think we could never be as good as those superhero role models. We won't aspire to be like them, but we condemn ourselves for not being like them the instant we convert. Don't go down that self-belittling pathway.

The proper Christian attitude is to confess that we are not as good as we are going to be, but we will grow, we will get better as the days pass. We will keep reading our bible and growing. We will keep praying and meditating to nurture our growth. Sure, we will stumble and fall sometimes, but we will not let Satan defeat us. If we fall down seven times, we will get up eight.

We press on and keep believing that we can walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
