ARCHIVAL NOTE: This was a trailer reaction/review for "Star Trek: Lower Decks," uploaded to YouTube a few weeks prior to the premiere of "Lower Decks" on CBS All Access. It's fair to say that, while I was keeping an open mind, you can easily pick up on my skepticism prior to the premiere of the series. After being so badly burned by Discovery, I'm now happy to report that stubbornly keeping an open mind actually paid off. Lower Decks ended up being (surprisingly) good! So, it's kind of interesting to hear what I said in this video, compared to what I would later say in my three-part review of Season 1.
