(24)Canadian dollar, aka The Loonie! - coin collecting for beginners

The loon is a bird that can be seen and heard all over Canada. Putting it on the one-dollar coin was not planned, but turned out to be one of the better decisions by the Royal Canadian Mint. The coin has become a cultural icon of Canada, like donuts and -30 degrees in January!

I am from Canada, live in Japan, and collect coins from everywhere.

Sorry, at this time, the coins I am showing are not for sale but I hope to acquire some duplicates to sell or maybe even give away in the future. Many of the coins I mention can be found on online dealer sights. Loonies can be acquired at any Canadian bank - only one dollar each!
