The owner of Bugatti, who accelerated to 417 km/ h in Germany, faces two years in prison
The police of Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) said that the case of Czech billionaire Radim Parser, who accelerated a Bugatti Chiron to 417 km/h on the autobahn, was transferred to the prosecutor's office. The owner of the supercar faces two years in prison.

According to the British edition of The Sun, the police department considers such "rides" as car racing on a public road (this is a serious crime in Germany). And then the absence of a speed limit does not play any role for the prosecutor's office and the court. Earlier, the driver was issued an official warning and threatened with a fine. Now the owner of Chiron can face up to two years in prison
From the factory on Bugatti Chiron there is a speed limiter of 420 km/h. The Czech has almost reached this mark. The check-in was made in July. The man chose a wide (three lanes in each direction) stretch of road that was straight for 10 km and had good visibility.

In Germany, there has long been talk of limiting the speed to the EU standard 130 km/h on all autobahns. This proposal is motivated not so much by safety as by concern for the environment: at speeds of more than 200 km/h, cars emit too many harmful gases into the atmosphere.
