I been waiting to talk
with you again
Waiting to tell you
how I’ve been
Waiting to look
you in the eye
And see your shining
face up in the sky.

Where you been little moon
So much has taken place
Since I last
saw your face.
Ive longed to see
your gentle light
Giving hope throughout
the night
I need to share
my thoughts with you
And watch you shine
the whole night through
Please share with me
your travels far
As you float among the stars.

Where you been little moon
I’m glad that
we could meet again
It’s been way too long
my dear old friend.
I know you
must be on your way
And that you’ll
come back another day
