What Happens When God's Glory Comes Upon Human Flesh

Some might not understand why people fall to the ground when the glory of God comes, but is nothing new. It happened in the old covenant and the new covenant.

2 Chronicles 5:14 so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

When they came to arrest Jesus, he asked them who they were looking for. The minute he responded, the glory of God hit these men. They went backward, and the Bible says they fell to the ground. Now, that must have been rather dramatic. So why should we be surprised when the glory of God comes upon people, and they can no longer stand on their feet. Even in the old covenant when people stood before Kings, they had to fall on their faces before them. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of lords, and when his presence becomes strong, you will find yourself on the floor.
