Fish-eating birds, or fishing birds, are a rather large group of birds that feed mainly or exclusively on fish. This includes both whole orders (penguin-like, pelican-like, egro-shaped, tube-nosed), families (mosquitoes, herons, phaetons) and genera (mergansers, kingfishers, fish owls), as well as individual species (bald eagle, white-tailed eagle, fish owl, many seagulls). The methods of catching fish in these birds are very diverse, as are the devices that they use.
