MZTV 315 - 12/04/2019: God Never Keeps the First, but the Second

The first Adam gives way to the Second. The first covenant does the same. The Aaronic priesthood gives way to that of Melchizedek. God discards Esau but keeps Isaac. He discards Esau but keeps Jacob. God never keeps the first, but the second. Why? Does He miss the mark with the first? No. The first shows the weakness of human flesh, allowing the second to highlight the ability of God against the contrastive darkness. When you now consider our current bodies in light of this pattern of God, a monumental truth emerges.
