Pedro Martinez was the most dominant pitcher in Major League Baseball in the late 90s/early 2000s. He was never linked to PEDs...but at the height of the era...Pedro Martinez was essentially unhittable.
He came in second place for the MVP award in 1999...and 21 years later...Pedro Martinez claims to know the reason. He was a guest on Barstool sports...on a podcast hosted by former teammate David Ortiz.
Pedro Martinez gave his reasoning as to why he wasn't MVP in 1999. He claims the baseball writers were biased against Hispanics. We refute this claim...and provide evidence showing there was no bias against Hispanics in Major League Baseball in the 1999 MVP voting.
