In the Bush #48 Celebrating My Birthday at the Cabin Part Two; Dutch Oven Wacky Cake

Join me for Part two of my Cabin Birthday Celebration, This time we take down my old shelter and clear out a backyard for the cabin. Then we make an old great depression recipe called "wacky Cake" in the dutch oven.

Wacky Cake:

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
5 TBSP dry unsweetened baking cocoa
2 TSP baking soda
1 TSP salt

mix dry ingredients
make 3 holes in batter and add to each:

1 TBSP vineger
2 TSP vanilla
3/4 cup oil
gradually stir in 2 cups water

bake at 350F for one hour

As a former Boy Scout, and Eagle Scout for life, I decided I needed to brush up on my self-reliance and outdoor skills. So in January of 2021 I began hiking out into my woods, building fires, shelters, cooking, and doing other bush activities.
