How investing in electric cars as part of public transportation could connect rural communities in California

The new infrastructure law includes a big investment in electric cars. It funds charging stations across the country with the goal of having 500,000 stations available. But some say the money should also be allocated to making electric cars a part of public transportation which could have a big impact on connecting rural communities.
