ESPN Radio used to be the leader in sports talk radio. They once had a legendary lineup featuring Mike & Mike...Colin Cowherd...and Dan Patrick. The departure of Dan Patrick in 2007 started the decline of ESPN Radio...and it's been in a freefall ever since.
We briefly look at the history of ESPN Radio...and compare the successful lineup to the current lineup. We point out where ESPN went wrong...and the many mistakes they made leading to this point.
We compare the departure of Colin Cowherd...to the departure of Howard Stern in terrestrial radio...and how neither have been replaced. We explain why ESPN Radio is dead...and the reason it's unlikely to be revived.
