Michigan fishing is my thing and I've spent my lifetime fishing Michigan rivers and lakes but I haven't spent much time fishing the great lakes or perch fishing for that matter. Michigan perch fishing is a big thing and I have heard people talk about how do you rig for perch fishing and
what is the best bait for perch and where do you catch perch ect. It was great to go perch fishing with an old pro that has perch rigs figured out with decades of experience with Michigan perch fishing. Now that I know how to fish for perch in the great lakes I have gone out and caught my new PB 13 inch yellow perch in the saginaw bay just 2 days after this trip to saginaw bay. Yep 2 days later we actually planned a sturgeon and musky trip to lake St. Clair but last minute changes brought us to plan b which was going to saginaw bay to fish for perch! This time I also caught perch in lures as well! For both trips we launched out of the Linwood boat launch on saginaw bay in Lake Huron.
