For my friend Alvin. Alvin had sent this rifle off to be repaired two years ago. Whoever had it didn't do crap to it and when I found out I told Alvin I would repair it at no charge so I could do a video series. This is a two-part video series. Disassembly and reassembly. As far as I could tell the only thing wrong with it were two missing screws and the loading gate was also missing. At the end of part two, I function test then test fire it. It functioned perfectly.
Designed by John Moses Browning, the model 94 gained everlasting fame in Westerns from the 30s, 40s,50s, and 60s. Of course, many of the carbines seen in the movies were of his previous generations the models 92 and 93. One firing black powder pistol cartridges and the other black powder rifle cartridges. The model 94 however was designed from the ground up to fire the then-new Smokeless powder cartridges and the.30-30 Winchester was the first smokeless cartridge designed and introduced by Winchester. 126 years later the .30-30 Winchester remains one of the top deer-taking cartridges. Easily and humanly dispatching Whitetails from one end of the continent to the other. Though complex it was a pleasure to work on this rifle.
