The Major Leagues

It seems most parents who put their kids into organized sports harbor dreams of their children making it to the major leagues. They rarely mention this motive, as is the case with all of the other motives they have for putting their children into organized sports. There are so many hidden motives going on with the parents in the stands watching their children play organized sports, but dreams of glory and big money in the majors it at or near the top.
For a person to make the majors though, the desire must come from within. That desire doesn't come from playing organized sports as a youth, it comes from a desire for a better life, among other motives. Many who have made the majors learned how to play in their backyard or at the playground or parks and not in the arena of organized youth sports.
Many major leaguers came from poor backgrounds and had a deep desire to escape that poverty, thus they are often more motivated than a young person from a family not dealing with poverty.
Yes, there have been major leaguers who played organized youth sports, but they got the desire from somewhere else.
Please let kids play naturally at sports and other activities and not always in an organized and preplanned fashion, that's how they best make it in life.
