As a boy, Art del Cueto — the son of Mexican immigrants — was taught that America is a land like no other.
He still believes it’s one worth protecting.
Now, as a leader of the union representing Border Patrol agents, he's spent a majority of his career patrolling the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation in Arizona. His experience has made him a firsthand witness to the drug war.
We spoke to him about the issue, the threat the drug trade poses to Americans, and how border security has been severely impacted by the Biden administration.
