E10 - Thursday Truth's with w/Josh X - The Lost Art of Meditation
Greetings you amazing, lovely human beings… 🥰
It is that day of the week again...Thursday with Truths...
Wow, how time flies... 🚀
Time...the construct of man...the grand illusion... ⏳
A great quote by Abhijit Naskar, the author of "Love, God & Neurons: Memoir of a scientist who found himself by getting lost." goes like this...
“Time is basically an illusion created by the mind to aid in our sense of temporal presence in the vast ocean of space. Without the neurons to create a virtual perception of the past and the future based on all our experiences, there is no actual existence of the past and the future. All that there is, is the present.”
However, most of man-kind is not in the present, but rather somewhere in the future conjuring up some worst-case scenario about something that might happen but probably won't.
This will most likely bring about a sense of anxiety, but that is not what we want is it...?
Peace and tranquility is only found in precious "NOW"
The practice of meditation is something that can aid us greatly if we wish to learn to be more present...and it is what we will be going to take a closer look at in this episode called "The Lost Art of Meditation"
I do not know if «lost» is the right word to use, but it is definitely lost to the masses…and practiced by the few, however, more and more beings are being awakened to its amazing benefits.
Meditation has been and still is practiced in numerous religious and spiritual traditions so it can't be just an insignificant thing from the past can it…?
The exact date of meditation’s origin is unknown, but archaeologists and scholars agree that it’s been around for about 5000 years. But when one thinks about all the things those guys have gotten wrong there is reason to believe it is a lot older than that. The earliest documented records of meditation are claimed to be from the teachings of the Vedas in ancient India approximately 1500BCE.
-What If meditation is so much more than just some old practice they did back in the days because they were less evolved than us and did not have better things to do…?
-What If meditation is an important key to help us find what we are looking for? Do we even know what are we looking for…and are we looking in the right place?
To go «inside» is something so very profound and important if we wish to progress in our search for truth, higher awareness, and climb this «Jacobs Ladder». But there are a lot of different ways to do, and practice, meditation so we will once again turn to Josh for some wisdom/gnosis… 🙌
Lots of love, Jostein & Josh 🥰🙏🌞✨
