The date was Friday, November 17, 2017... a date that marked the end of an era. Redding, California, TV station KRCR-TV bid farewell to one of its long-running news/sports personalities Mike Mangas, who left KRCR (for a second time) to go to work for Dignity Health of Redding (Mercy Medical Center Redding).

Several clips were put on this AVE YouTube channel appear on the video stemming all the way back to 1991 (where AVE co-owner Mike Summers appeared in the Sportscaster For A Day contest and later interned under Mangas and Rich Eisen). Plus, well wishes from for co-workers Kurtis Ming, Allison Woods, Kelli Saam, Jennifer Scarborough, Brent Weber and Rich Eisen.

One behalf of Action Video Entertainment, owners of AVEtv and Action VR Network, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Mike Mangas for over 40 years of broadcast excellence. You will be missed.
