I. Volunteered for the Royal Army Medical Corps
1. Took Bible to read as work of philosophy
2. Saved in barracks in 1941
3. Baptized in Holy Spirit
4. Received word from God:
a. “It shall be like a little stream, the little stream shall become a river, the
river shall become a great river, the great river shall become a sea, the sea
shall become a mighty ocean, and it shall be through thee; but how, thou
must not know, thou canst not know, thou shalt not know.”
b. God spoke “Palestine” many times
5. Spent 3 years in deserts of North Africa:
a. Egypt, Libya and the Sudan
b. Developed skin disease (chronic eczema)
c. In hospital 1 year
d. Searched Bible for verses on healing
e. Word from God through lady Brigadier (Salvation Army): “Consider the
work of Calvary; a perfect work, perfect in every respect, perfect in every
aspect”
f. Healed of skin disease (Prov. 4:20–22)
J. Stationed in Palestine at hospital on Mt. of Olives—called by God to be a teacher
of the Scriptures
K. Met Lydia and God spoke again: “I have joined you together under the same yoke
and in the same harness”
L. Married February 1946 in Jerusalem
