Sin = evil nature (power) that causes us to commit sins

b. The life is in the blood (Lev. 17:11); the soul resides in the blood
c. Jesus poured out His soul to the death in His blood (Is. 53:12 [compare Is.
53:10])
3. Jesus’ provision
a. Jesus came to give us life (John 10:10)
b. Jesus offers us life in His blood (John 6:53–57 [1 Cor. 10:16])—we feed
on the blood of Jesus by taking communion
