We need help! Beavers are all over! E66

We came up to the land realized there is a lot of water flowing through since the snow has started to melt. Since there was snow still on the ground, and the sun was out, we decided to send the drone up and get some detailed pictures what we are looking at.
Last year we cleared out a beaver dam and turned it in to a path up the mountain down in southern KY.
that was very successful putting in the culvert. that still looks great today
Today we look at beaver dams and what they are causing at the property.
We are planning ahead to make the land more useful.

Here is the biggest of the dams and the last before we get to the path to the mountain.
Here is what we are looking at today
Angel was the first to find the path back to the dam.

What needs to happen?
First, we have to decide what we want.

We know we want a place of refuge. A place of tranquility for those who need peace.
Fruit trees, garden, meandering stream to water the plants and animals. And, yes, a lake, but not this one (shallow, mucky, low ground). One where people can…. Walk around the lake, fish, drive around, picnics, and much more. I like what the beavers wanted but not how they did it.

What is the best way to remove this dam? Blow it up? Backhoe? I don’t think the tractor is big enough to attack the dam without possible damage if it gives all at once. And is the 30” culvert big enough if it goes all at once?

News flash: There are actually more than this dam.

How would you go about safely removing beaver dams?

Have a great day and God Bless!
