3D Blu-ray Review: Dune (2021)

This is a challenging movie. Not for the casual viewer. But the 3D is excellent and most shots have a still camera. So still at times I thought of it as like looking at a View-Master reel.

As for the story - It helps to have a friend who knows the book to give you all the in-between details. Interestingly one such friend of mine said this felt more like a reboot of the David Lynch version rather than a brand new take on the Dune story. I don't know. I did notice both versions favored a similar style of shot. Still, often with very straight and centered geometry.

I happened to get the 3D German edition. Aside from menu items its all in English and is region free. After I made this review I discovered Warner has released a North American 3D version. Yaaay!!!
