Tools: 12m Wrench, and something to catch the 2-3 quarts of oil. Optional: Bike stands, and a 17mm wrench if you are replacing a K&N Oil Filter, you could also reset the oil light indicator in the dash. I always use Mobil 1 10w-40 Full Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. Its never let me down and is reasonably priced. I’d go with Amsoil if I were racing though. Always dispose of your used oil and filters responsibly. The manual says to torque down the Oil Filter to 12ft.pounds /17Nm and the Oil Drain bolt to 14ft.pounds / 20Nm but I’ve always hand tightened it and its been fine.

Im almost positive its the same process for the 2019 and up R3's.
