The Bells Monument - KAMBANITE and The Flag of Peace #Sofia #GoProHero9 #4K

Today, I am taking you to the skirts of the Vitosha Mountain, where we are going to explore The Bells Monument (in Bulgarian language – KAMBANITE). The monument is a unique historical and cultural heritage, established in 1979 – the year declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Child. The event known as the Children’s Assembly “The Flag of Peace” was organized under the patronage of UNESCO, under the motto UNITY, CREATIVITY, and BEAUTY. It was meant to be a single event but due to its success UNESCO, UNICEF and the participating countries decided to continue organizing this festival every three years. The last festival took place in1989 and it gathered children from 135 countries.
