Quick fix for Fisher and Paykel DEGX1 clothes dryer not heating well or drying clothes well

If you FP DX1 dryer seems to be taking longer to dry and seems to not be heating up like it used to this is a quick fix. I also go through some of the other possibilities that might be causing this machine to not perform well.
