Norton was first elected to Congress in 1991 and is 84 years old. She made headlines in July 2020 when she said she would fight any effort by the then-Washington Redskins to relocate to Washington D.C. Nancy Pelosi is seriously considering this person to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee.
