They fought not for life, but for death. The hawk-king Jatayu and the ten-headed ogre demon Ravana. Fire arrows flew in clouds, and with razor-sharp claws, the king of birds slashed the demon's body. But Jatayu was too old, and Ravana was invulnerable and cunning. His wounds healed, in place of the torn off hands, new ones immediately grew.
