A prophet is someone who speaks for God, Though some prophets did predict future events, their main role was to call God's people back to him.

"The Servant of the Lord"
Jesus's suffering & death on the cross and resurrection is depicted in this chapter, written by the prophet Isaiah who looked at the failures of all the nations around him and pointed to a future Messiah (Jesus) who would bring peace for the people of Israel.
