In this episode, we begin 1 Corinthians 8. We discuss the likely reason the issue of eating in an idol's temple was presented to Paul and who were the likely ones seeking Paul's comments. We analyze Paul's comparison of knowledge and love and suggest two possible translations and interpretations of the first 3 verses. We proceed to consider vss. 4-6 where we dissect the knowledge shared by Paul and the inquirers before looking forward to the next passage for a preview of how Paul will wrap up his response to the initial inquiry.
