As a parent looking for ways to both interact with grand kids AND have the ability to introduce them to true American History vs. the crap they learn in our public schools, model railroading has both a Hobby/Fun component AND a serious role to play. Begin to realize the opportunities lost on my kids and hoping to do better with the Grand kids :)
