SERMON NOTES

Let God Have His Way!
2 Chronicles 7:14
'if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin and heal their land. '

I. Remember! (Exodus 19:5-6)
• Good Morning!! I am so glad that you are here with us today!!!”
• As we examine our text today, we see that God is speaking to Solomon.
• It is in this conversation that He is having that He imparts some truly dynamic truths to him.
• God starts in verse 14 with the phrase “If my people who are called by my name”
• Listen to (Exodus 19:5-6, ). God is telling the Children of Israel (and us today), that we have a connection to Him.
• Additional reading: Jeremiah 31:31-34, John 15:18-20, John 3:16, 1 John 4:7-8

II. Be Restored (Romans 6:23, 1 John 1:9)
• As we continue to examine our text, we gain a little more insight!
• See as we have been seeing throughout this time of study, we have seen that the people have been rebellious in their relationship with God.
• They have turned away from Him and have set their sights on other gods and things.
• But God is addressing this fact and providing a remedy for the situation.
• He mentions that they “humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways.”
• He is calling for them (and us) to submit and surrender!

III. Walk in Him (1 John 1:4-7)
• As we come the conclusion of the statement today, we see that God brings it home with this powerful statement!
• God is stating that, “He will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
• What an awesome God we serve!!
• This is one that is connected to the heart of the individual. It is one that the person must examine themselves.
• Listen to (1 John 1:4-7). If you are wanting to walk in the Marvelous Light of God today, then I just have one thing to say.
• Choose Jesus today!!!
