On this episode of Pilsners and Politics Benjamin sits down with Joe Kent. Joe is running for Congress in Washington States 3rd Congressional District, against anti-Trump, pro-impeachment incumbent Jamie Buetler.

Joe was born in a cabin in Sweet Home, Oregon, and grew up in Portland, Oregon. Growing up, he spent much of his life in the Cascades and Columbia River Gorge, thanks to Boy Scouts and Explorer Scouts. He has always considered the Pacific Northwest his home and wanted to fight for this nation.

At a young age Joe enlisted in the Army as an infantryman and eventually earned his way into the Ranger Regiment and then Special Forces. After 9/11, he volunteered at every opportunity to serve in combat, subsequently serving twenty years with 11 combat deployments. Joe intended to serve his nation in hostile locations abroad until his world turned upside down on January 16th, 2019, when his wife, Shannon Kent, was killed fighting ISIS in Syria. Joe made the choice to step away from putting himself in physical danger so he could be there for his two young sons. Joe's wife Shannon was killed approximately one month after President Trump attempted to pull our troops out of Syria because we had met our military objective. This attempt to end a war brought out the Establishment’s true colors as they resisted him at every step.

Joe is dedicated to the America First Movement, and putting America and Americans ahead of corporate greed and and the globalist agenda. Because of his hard work and dedication to Making America Great Again, Joe has been endorsed by President Trump.
