More About Jake from RAVENWOOD ACRES

I first started creating content on YouTube back in 2012. My channel content kind of jumps all over this place. However, my primary focus is promoting preparedness and self-reliance. I leverage my mechanic background to create videos about repairing or build things yourself. As you may notice that my Coleman videos are popular which cool because I like to collect old lanterns. The Homesteading part came when we bought a home on 5 acres in Southwest Washington state. I love sharing videos about homesteading however, it is a challenging space to reach your attended audience.
My day job is a senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the US Army for the last 19 ½ years. My primary trade is helicopter mechanic and aircrew member. I am currently stationed in South Korea without my family, they are still on Ravenwood acres. My retirement from the Army is in my near future. My career in the Army is the reason I did not show my face for years. I concerned about backlash in the Army. Yeah, most of my content is not controversial but there is still that stigma associated “preppers”.
