Access points around Grand Junction offer over 480,000 acres of public lands that are open to off-highway vehicle (OHV) travel. Trails in OHV areas zig-zag back and forth across the landscape and as long as you're on the trail, you can go where ever you want. Bangs Canyon and Rabbit Valley Recreation Area are two popular OHV areas in the Grand Junction. The Grand Mesa and North Fruita Desert towards the Bookcliffs are also fun areas covered in trails. There are actually too many trails to list, so we recommend planning your next trip with the Colorado OHV Opportunities Maps by Stay The Trail Colorado. They are free and very informational! They even offer downloadable pdf maps from the Grand Junction BLM Field Office.
